Air Fryer Pepper Poppers

Great way to use peppers from the garden! Adapted from: https://www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/air-fryer-pepper-poppers/

Ingredients
 12 jalapeño, hatch, or other hollow green chilies
 8 oz cream cheese, softened
 1 ½ cups shredded cheese (we used Mexican blend, but any combination should be delish!)
 ¼ cup green onion, chopped
 ¼ tsp salt
 ¼ tsp garlic powder
 ¼ tsp chili powder
 ¼ tsp smoked paprika
 ½ cup bread crumbs

Preheat air fryer to 325°F for 3 minutes.

Slice each chili pepper in half, then remove ribs and seeds.

In a large bowl, combine the cheeses, green onion and seasonings; mix well.

Spoon cheese mixture into each pepper half, then roll in bread crumbs

Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray, and add the peppers in a single layer to the basket.

Cook the peppers for 15 minutes at 325°F.

Some people like to add cooked crumbled bacon to the cheese mixture as well!
